Am I the only person that was disappointed with the very last episode of the new Battlestar Galactica ? I mean, huh? Prior to the final episode, the writing and story was top-notch! I love the time stuff, and it's more of a human story (everything from racisms to religion). The idea of the machines believing in God (read: not man), is a strange idea.
While the show was a rollercoaster ride, there were a few episodes that sort of went nowhere - but it's still a very excellent show. At one point, I thought it was my favorite show ever because they were killing off all your favorite (and not-so-favorite) characters.

Camera Obscura and ABBA both have songs called "Happy New Year", but they are unrelated.
Or are they?
Apparently the ABBA song is from their Super Trouper LP, appearing as the first song on Side B. Guess what? Camera Obscura covered "Super Trouper" (first song on Side A) as their B-Side to Tears for Affairs 7". You can hear Camera Obscura's "Super Trouper" on Cover Lover.

The Frames are from Dublin, Ireland. They must really love touring, as they've released two live albums, and according to the guitarist's Rob Bochnik, he's been recording all their live shows using a AKG C60 Microphone. Plus, they really love their encores. For the encore in Minneapolis (4/17/2007), they had four songs! And I think they do that four-song-encore everynight for this tour, which consists of a violin solo, a guitar/violin duet, and two full band songs. When I say full band, I mean they have a pretty full band: two guitarists, a bassist, a keyboardist, a violinist, and a drummer.

The song is not really about Mike Piazza, but more or less a love song. If you follow the lyrics, Stuart Murdoch, is reminiscencing about the time he shared his love of baseball and how they hung around the Giants' Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The lyrics are very colorful and descriptive.

Just to give you an idea of the lack of organization at W♥M, we have this shared "pending" list of bands we're working on and I guess Ryan was working on Herman Düne, which I'm actually sort of writing about today. Fortunately, I will not be too focused on Herman, but on David-Ivar's alter-ego, Yayahoni.
